Chiltern is Furlong's affordable, dependable twist-pile carpet — the sensible all-rounder that combines style, practicality and value. Part of the Tailored Twist Collection, its tightly twisted 2-ply yarn gives a hard-wearing surface that's brilliant at hiding footprints and vacuum lines, which is exactly why twist carpets are the go-to choice for busy hallways, stairs and landings as well as living rooms and bedrooms.

It's made to be easy to live with. Chiltern is woven from 100% recycled polypropylene, so its stain resistance is part of the fibre itself, not a coating sprayed on at the end. The colour is locked into the yarn and the fibre doesn't absorb water-based spills, which makes Chiltern bleach-cleanable — most stains can be cleaned with a diluted bleach solution without harming the colour, and that protection can't wear off the way an applied stain treatment eventually does. As a synthetic fibre it's also naturally mothproof, and using recycled yarn makes it a more sustainable choice too.
